Phase Tracker R&D

Phase Tracker R&D is the ultimate collaboration and productivity tool for R&D teams, bringing together a solution to two specific challenges facing development shops: Product Management and Process Management. Layered on top is the innovative and efficient SR&ED auditing and reporting module, which interfaces with our Phase Tracker Claim Prep system.


Dashboard
The starting point for all users, the Dashboard provides a summary of the current month, including activity records, deadlines, meetings reminders and more. The built-in Org Chart feature allows supervisors to view the calendars of all of their reports, taking accountability to a whole new level.

Projects Listing
The Projects listing provides a single point of reference for all development activity being tracked in the system. It provides R&D, Marketing and Operations a continually updated view of current progress, deadlines and milestones. Communications to the exec level are streamlined, and because the Project listing is constantly updated to reflect all changes in the system, everyone is working off the same page, always.

Projects
The Project is the core data entity in Phase Tracker. It allows work on a given project to be broken into its constituent parts (called "Tasks"), with each task having independent deadlines and progress indicators, and optionally assigned to a different user. It allows multiple users to collaborate on the different aspects of the project in parallel, with clear accountability, record keeping and progress stored in a single location for easy monitoring and auditing.

Tasks
Tasks make up a project and allow the activity records entered by users to be very granular, while at the same time being extremely simple and quick to create. Each task has an independent deadline, status and progress indicators and owner. It also contains its own set of user-configurable data fields, allowing a huge range of customization.

Activity Record
The Activity Record is the currency of the Phase Tracker system. Activity Records are automatically assigned to a Task and Project, allowing your team to create extremely granular records with just a couple of clicks. The activity records are then used to provide accurate and indexible cost accounting records and iron-clad support for SR&ED and other funding claims or audits.

Reminders
Reminders are a simple means by which users can create context-specific records to draw additional attention to deadlines, milestones and other activities. Like all records in the system, Reminders are built with collaboration in mind, letting users save reminders for themselves, other colleagues or the entire team.

Meetings
The Meetings feature enables users to quickly and easily bring members of the team together for context-specific discussions. After the meeting, a time log can be quickly created by one person and instantly propagated to all attendees, further streamlining record keeping.

Virtual Trees
Phase Tracker's unique virtual tree relation structures allow projects to be associated with other projects in limitless combinations, allowing the most complex relationships to be quickly and easily created. This allows different perspectives and models of the same data set which are all instantly updated as changes occur within the data.

SR&ED Inheritance
A core differentiator in the Phase Tracker system, our SR&ED model is truly innovative and of high value when preparing your SR&ED claims. Using a sophisticated inheritance model designed by SR&ED professionals, an entire year's data set is instantly categorized into SR&ED projects, ready for pulling cost data and technical write-ups into your claim. Query Engine
The Query Engine is a highly flexible psuedo-SQL system allowing user to create, save and share data queries against the database, creating a nearly limitless array of views into the data set.
